Completed the Christmas light display early this year. Did our traditional "Christmas Vacation" dinner last night and watched the movie with like-minded Christmas light neighbors. And the Clark "Sparky" Griswold award goes to....

This AM it was just me and Peanut going out at 7 AM in 22 degree temps.Galaxy knew better!...I need to find Peanut's alarm clock and dismantle it!!!....Snow and rain and sleet later...maybe a couple inches..up to 5 when all is said and done by Tues...It IS December folks...winter is getting ready to pounce!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a Thanks out to Grant for starting this thread many years ago!! It saved me from wearing out the post whoring threads, that's for sure!!....It's a safety valve that sure comes in handy once in a while!!!!!!!!!!!!...That pizza thread is another one..........;):D:rolleyes:

More snow this afternoon...1"to 3" around here... upstate may see over 8"...........Hopefully this will pack down the leaves that have been blowing down my driveway. I have a wall of them I have to clean up, if they ever dry out....snowflakes starting to creep in as I type...just one or two right now................neighbor across the street got his snowblower going this morning...changed the calendars to December today...this year is winding down quickly................the older you get the faster tyme goes by...I never paid any attention to that............ but now I do!

Lots of rain here over the past couple of days which is a nice start to our rain season. Lots of snow in the local Sierras as well which means it's tyme to dust off my skis. The city I live in has a rain gauge right up the street from me so it's easy to keep track of the rainfall. And the creek overflowing!

Early dismissals and closings starting to filter thru as more snowflakes start to appear in advance of slippery conditions later this afternoon.People gotta remember how to drive in this stuff..................some never learned to begin with.....

Snow not too bad here over nite...less than an inch...upstate near the Mass border, they got almost 2ft in some spots!.. expect many school delays, as roads will be slippery until the sun comes out to melt and dry things up a bit...This is one of the many benefits of retirement...You don't have to deal with this stuff at 5:00 in the morning...AMEN!!!!!........I'm being VERY polite here..................................

Sun today in the AM...mix of clouds and sun later, temps about 40.I picked up the ton of leaves in the driveway today, it was due, but it seems like everytyme I do that, another wall of leaves fills back in...Hon will be happy when she comes home..cold over the weekend..30's with a warm up Mon and Tues..to low 50's and rain..no snow in the forecast....I'm a happy camper!!..no shoveling!...in the old, old days as a kid, I prayed for snow so Santa could get here for Christmas....One way or another He'll make it :D

As predicted, the leaves are starting to take control of my driveway again. All the trees are barren, so the leaves must hide and come when I'm not looking...I swear I can hear them coming down the driveway while I'm sleeping...This is like a horror movie!!!!...
