That tropical storm, whatever its name is,is moving in now.The bulk of it is moving to the west of us, into New York state. Less rain for us but more wind...I hope we don't lose power.......I got my posts back....I'll deal with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful day after the storm yesterday. Driveway and yard full of leaves from the high winds, but more people suffered ALOT more than that with trees down and power outages. One poor guy got out of his car to move some branches blocking the road and was killed when a tree blew down on him. We never lost power here because Hon made Me get all those flashlights ready...My battery reserve is now on empty!!!!!!!!!!..Nevertheless I thank God for my Hon!!!!!!!!!...She's my rock!!

Newspaper getting smaller but not the price...lost many "extras" over the years...Latest to go was -"Thought for the day"....If "they" ever lose the Jumble and Crossword puzzles, then I'll watch my news on the TV...............

Day 2 since storm hit us on Tuesday afternoon.600K people still without power.Thank God I didn't lose mine!!!!! Some cities and towns are 50% to 60% in the dark.Roads have to be cleared of fallen trees before power restoration crews can come in to get everybody back online.. "They're" saying maybe over the weekend many could see their lights back on again.Usually a tropical storm won't do this much damage, but this one, with wind gusts just below hurricane strength, packed a punch!!!!!!!

Glad you're doing okay out there - hang in there.

Almost 500K people still in the dark in Ct!..2nd person died here because of the storm, he was helping a friend clear a tree with a chain saw when it kicked back and got him in the neck.Weather forecasters are predicting this is just the start of a long stormy hurricane season.....................

When Son was growing up ,He listened to this song.I asked him if he knew what a steel horse was...his first answer was a statue.....now he has his own steel horse...If I had a motorcycle in my younger days with the lifestyle I was living I don't think I'd be around today. Bikes are very dangerous...you can be the best rider in the world, but it only takes one moron on a cell phone or a bottle of beer in his hand to mess you up bad. or worse............

Most people will be getting their power back this weekend...a few in remote areas may have to wait til Tuesday....lots and lots of food had to be thrown out because of lack of refrigeration and no means to cook it......now the worry is covid coming in with the work crews coming in to help the restoration effort from out of state...a double edged sword just got worse....
