Ford Racing Oil Pan Contact

I installed the 5.0/5.2 GT500 oil pan on my gen 1 and it’s contacting the subframe in 3 different places. Just barely but it makes contact. Tried moving the subframe forward but no dice, about to make it clear with the sawzall and BFH. Anyone else experience a similar issue?

Yeah, mine was VERY close on the front 2 corners. I clearanced it with a die grinder to get it to 2-3mm of space at any given point. Still close, but I’m running the Watson solid engine mounts so I wasn’t as concerned about it making contact from the engine moving around. Ran 3 track days now and no contact.

I guess for $1K and it being OEM I expected a little better. It’s super close but oh well. The joy of mods….

Had the same left-hand side clearance issue with the Moroso deep sump pan on my '06. Took a die grinder to cut the edge off the subframe and then re-welded along that edge. Won't know if I have enough clearance until my first test day June 11, though…

You need to clearance the rear inside of the K-member on each side with a die grinder and then BFH a dimple in the front left. Above pictures are pretty accurate.
