Do I want 4 or 6 piston brembo?

The S550 6 piston brake pads will last twice as long as the S197 4 piston pads. This is based on my direct observation of both setups on 2012 - 2014 S197 GT / Boss cars. The pads on the S550 setup actually last longer than the 25mm thick pads I have with my 380mm / 15" Brembo Pro brakes I...

    Adjustable Sway Bars, '14 GT

Bill and the others are right. Save your money and run the car as is and then think about changes to improve or correct any issues. Don’t pick a sway bar based simply on brand or because it worked on someone else’s car. The bars have different rates. What’s right for one car is wrong for...

    Adjustable Sway Bars, '14 GT

No, it is not available by itself. I suspect it is a re-packaged Eibach bar, which is sold individually.

    2013 Boss 302 engine removal

A lift, stack of pallets, or a heavy-duty furniture dolly really helps. The the first time I dropped my engine an transmission, I used a stack of pallets below the lift. But, without casters, repositioning the K-member was difficult. I know have a large furniture dolly I built out of 2x6 and...

    Broken Prothane Front LCA Bushing

The Boss cars don’t have the nibble issue. It’s only the early GT models.

    Broken Prothane Front LCA Bushing

Failure of the front poly bushing is not uncommon. If you don’t want to occasionally replace the poly bushing, you need to install an aluminum and delrin bushing. FRPP and Global West are a good source. I suspect the FRPP bushing is actually a delalum bushing from Global West.

    Looking to Improve Engine Cooling

I’m running the GT500 with my C&R too.

    Looking to Improve Engine Cooling

I and the old 21 car are running the $850 version. I’m pretty sure ArizonaBoss is as well.

    Looking to Improve Engine Cooling

My car and the former 21 car both had the FRPP radiator. We replaced them with the C&R units. My car ran around 235 with the FRPP radiator at Road America.

    Looking to Improve Engine Cooling

I also recommend the C&R radiator. My car never cracked 220 coolant temps or 260 oil at Road America earlier this month an neither did the old 21 car. Almost everyone else, even with high flow grilles, etc. we’re running 235+ in comparison. Steve Esposito’s current car ran hot on the coolant...

Front Alignment Issue: -3.7 Degree of Camber

See the how to section and use the links to the 2011 service manual online. https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/s197-online-work-shop-manuals-and-wiring-diagrams.1819/ http://iihs.net/fsm/?d=1116&f=Subframe%20-%20Front,%205.0L.pdf&p=3

Front Alignment Issue: -3.7 Degree of Camber

Check for K-member alignment, bent shock, bent control arm, and for a bent spindle. You should be able to swap the camber plates on your struts and then swap them side to side. If you get the same weird results, your shock are most likely not the issue. K-member alignment is pretty easy to...

    Engine cooling

2012Boss302, See my posts in other threads on this subject via the search tool. Running a Roush Billet Grille, the FRPP M-8005-MGT Boss 302S radiator, a Setrab 172, and a Setrab 925, my coolant temps run 220 - 235 degrees and oil temps are between 250 - 270 degrees depending on the outside air...

What type of garage lift do you use

I have low profile arms on my BendPak, but still need to drive the car onto four foot long sections of 2 x 4 seen in the photo above.

What type of garage lift do you use

I made a mistake above, my garage ceiling is 11' and I can full lift my Mustang with a Bendpak XPR-9S-LP (low profile arm option). In the hieghest position, the bottom of the car is about 6'3" - 6'5" from the floor. https://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/two-post-lifts/xpr-9s/

Looking for Engine/engine bay cooling mods

I should note that the Tiger hood was only installed after I had installed a billet grille, added oil coolers (first a Setrab 172 combined with the OEM oil to water cooler and then a Setrab 172 in series with a 925), and upgraded the radiator. So, that might be a reason I did not see much of a...

    Time for a differential cooler?

I’ve installed the Cortex overflow on multiple cars, to include my own. They all overflowed as you described. They were replaced with a larger, trunk mounted Peterson overflow. My opinion is if you are running longer than 25 minute sessions, you really should install a diff cooler. Look in...

Looking for Engine/engine bay cooling mods

First, as Grant indicated, either pull you front grill and fog lights entirely or install a high flow billet grille without the lights. Bottom line, you need more airflow. Second, your oil cooler isn’t big enough. If your just running an air to oil cooler, you need to consider Setrabs largest...

    Chin Track Days

I have never had to have an instructor with Chin, other than a check ride out of region. So, I can’t comment on the volunteer staff at some events. My checkrides have either been with paid Chin staff or other volunteer staff that I have run with at other events. After the first couple of laps...

What type of garage lift do you use

I forgot to mention, don’t go with a cheap, non-certified, Chinese lift. Spend the extra money for a bendpak, rotary, or other professional certified lift. The bendpaks and rotary lifts will have Chinese components, but the lifts went through US certification testing for the lift rating.
