I'll second that. For tolerances this close you really need inside and outside micrometers, not a pair of calipers.
I would not play with this, go with the parts as delivered and install as previously outlined.
I actually thought of doing the same thing but couldn't bring myself to hack up my AJ Hartman Carbon Fiber headlight blanks.
AJ told me he thinks he only ever sold one set and I have them on Frankenstang. (bought them from @Albino500)
They are no longer available so outside of whatever...
This is precisely why I chose the Cobrajet Cold air intake over several alternatives.
(Don't forget to bore and re shape the velocity stack)That little snorkel leads up to the grill and is actually outside the face of the radiator so it doesn't interfere with flow.
So yes, you CAN have the...
No wonder I couldn't find them, they are listed as "Control arm Bolts". Weird.https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-lower-control-arm-mount-bolt-w711123s439
Thanks, I couldn't find them on the Tasca site or any of the other sites I perused through yesterday.
I'm using the 19mm Howe screw in ball joints and unfortunately they came with no bolts.
Thank you again.
You read me right the first time. That extension part you posted (and I subsequently ordered) connects to the "snorkel" as I called it to extend it past the radiator. I knew something was missing as feeding the CAI with hot air from the radiator defeats the Cold air portion of a "Cold Air"...
This is the reason I went with the CJ CAI, a better heat barrier than some popular choices plus that little snorkel on the front. Oddly, it doesn't go past the radiator so it just snorkels in hot air from the rad. Is there an OEM connector piece that I am missing or do I need to fab something up?
