I mentioned the " crazy Italian", and you're right, it was definately one of the best!

One of the funnier moments was the first time we ran the St Pete GP, while setting up for the weekend a bunch of guys from the fire department come walking under the tent looking very official and serious and I'm thinking - what are we going to get yelled at about - since St Pete in airport was very different compared to all the other paddocks... here they came by to kiss the ring of the St Pete Godfather.

Proud to have won the amount of races we did with the tires you matched perfect and staggered special!

Those 2 in St. Pete in '17 though - they were the best.

Congratulations, Rob, on two successful careers. While I'm sure the wins and championships you've been a part of as tire guru have been satisfying, and I truly appreciate all the advice and experience you've shared on this forum, I want to give you an extra thank you for your service as a firefighter. Optimizing tires on a race car can bring joy and trophies to drivers and teams (and excitement for spectators of a good race), but running into burning buildings and putting out fires literally saves peoples' lives. So thank you for deciding to spend a part of your life putting your own safety on the line to protect the lives of others.
