They didn’t invite meTony
Nice mods.
Ford invited me to drive the GT-500 at Autobahn the week after the fourth. I might see you then.
That blows, but as you said, glad it didn't turn into a crash. The frustration can be overbearing sometimes.Happy 4th Everyone......went to gingermans 4th of July track day. Decided to put the stock rims back on tojse up the sport cup 2tires. Left at 4:30am, with “Track husband” and we arrived.....1/2 way to gingerman from chicago my tire light came on, so i went into status screen and all 4 sensors were not reading. We get to gingerman, i check everything, seems ok. We do drivers meeting, wait for advanced and inter to do their 20min. We go out on track, first 5min is warmup lap, i start learning the line. Get to the straight at green light, punch it, pass the slower moving cars and hit the brakes into turn one left hander and my rear gets insanely squirrly and sloppy......i slow down, get out of the line, slowly putz around track and give everyone their space while telling them to pass. Get to pits and find my right rear is flat. Of course, july 4th.....luckily an on track shop tried plugging it, nope, hole too big. They dont have a tire machine either. Luckily i have an amazing father who was bored at home with my mom and he took one of our empty compamy service vans, went to my house, grabbed my street tires and brought the, 2 hours to me.....almost teared up. Day was done, track husband had a small leak on his oil cooler.....my credit card was declining everywhere.....this was not our weekend. Put street tires on and went home. I’m so happy this didnt turn into a bigger disaster or cause a crash.
i think for the rest of the season i will stay close at autobahn and wait til i get my truck and trailer for further events.

July 2020 Tire Test - Michelin Pirelli Goodyear Top End Track Tires
Ok, so the tires he's testing are made of molded unobtainium and are priced just slightly beyond the reach of a second mortgage, but it's an interesting test looking at the top end of the three product lines.trackmustangsonline.com
Sorry, didn't catch that you watched it. While less sticky initially, I would recommend the Hankook RS-4. Cheaper too.Why are you posting that thread? I already watched it. Are you saying switch to pirellis?

I edited my post as you were replying. I guess it depends how long your drive is to the track.
