
Just turn off the Main Breaker.Just have to figure out how to disconnect from the grid so the power isn't flowing back into it instead of the house.
Once someone gets that figured out EVs might just end up becoming a lot more attractive to more people.

When you can easily use an EV as a battery backup power source for your house when the power goes out I'll be a huge EV fan.

I don't see the concept of plugging in so the grid can take power from your car as working. Will they pay the same price as you did for the KWs? Likely no. If they do, you will still loose because of inefficiencies in transmitting the power back and forth. Then consider the wear on the batteries. Where is the up side for the consumer in a capitalist system?

I fabricated a 220V cable with male plugs on both ends (Yes very dangerous if you don't know exactly what you're doing) If I shut off Main Breaker and then plug my generator output to one end of this cable & the other into a 220V outlet, generator power will get to the distribution panel and power the house. With the Main Breaker off the house is isolated from the grid. A safe system for electric cars could be wired to a home's distribution panel with an inverter & relays to do this automatically, just plug & play. Automatic back-up generators are set up that way and solar power systems will isolate during a power outage too.
