3rd gear grinding!

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I have a 2013 with 25K miles that has never been modded, tracked or raced. While routinely shifting into 3rd gear, I am experiencing some grinding noise. I am assuming there is something wrong with the gear synchronizers. I don't get it at low speeds or while down shifting. Is this a common complaint? Will it be under warranty?

Thanks.

I think it's common enough that there's a Trans issues thread...sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. Your powertrain warrantee should be intact and should cover this.

Welcome to BMO. The power train warranty is for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Take it to your dealer and have them fix it.
