Since the original thread has gotten pretty long some of you may have not checked out the new news about what is happening at Motorsports Park Hastings the 21st thru the 23rd of September.

Sure there will be a bunch of 2013 GT 500s, as well as 2013 Bosses and 2013 Laguna Secas, but the big news , whether you are coming for the car show, the reception and tech talk /film on Friday night , or the track time ( drags, autocross, road racing ) , is that 4 Dearborn Engineers will be in attendance.

First check out www.racemph.com and look into the registration for the Mustang/ Ford Roundup or the Ponies on the Plains ( both events are run together as this is for a group of Shelby owners ). Choose what you would like to do , as the registration gives you alot of choices.

Below are the guys coming, and they will likely be bringing some of their personal cars. Very open to answering questions and Ford fanatics themselves , this is one more reason not to miss this event, participate in one of the many venues and hang out with your Mustang Boss buds.

Todd Soderquist - Key player in bringing the Boss back and the Engineer many of you will remember from the Speed Channel Special on the Boss with Parnelli Jones. He is currently the CD4 Platform Program Mgr.

Jim Dunham - Tech Specialist in Vehicle Architecture. Helped set up the newer generation Mustang as well as the Ford GT. He restored the original LeMans winning GT40 at the Henry Ford Museum - way cool!!

Bart Marowelli - New model launch specialist . Should be able to contribute alot aout new stuff coming out, especially the F150 , the tow vehicle of choice for many of you.

Chuck Drake - Boss 302 Vehicle Engineering Team Leader. Need we say more about this guy , sure we will all be bombarding him with questions too.

If you are in the Midwest and you have a Boss, or a Mustang, this is an event you should not even consider missing.

Best Regards,

Re: 4 Ford Engineers at the Event

I really wish I was attending this event. If it's held next year with similar support from Ford I'll be there. I'll fly and rent a GT for the track or maybe Todd will loan me a LS. ;D

Re: 4 Ford Engineers at the Event

All we need it a couple of capable representatives. I think Gary and Bill P are more than capable.

Re: 4 Ford Engineers at the Event

I hope so, but I am running in the AARP Class and Gary is clear back in the Puberty Racing League.

Gonna get whipped by that young whippersnapper. Not going to use age for an excuse though, going with the more appropriate, " Under Modded" theme.

We have about 8 Bosses already entered , so there could easily be 10-15 , just need to get more of you folks to sign up!!!!

Let's go man! We need to start talking about the Europe trip too.. But that's another thread.

I agree it'd be good to organize some questions you guys want answered, like what is the best solution to cooling the car.

I will thank them for building a $40k something car that can whip up on M3s and P cars and how I can wring a little faster lap time out of mine.

That's because you don't track your car. If you would spend less time worrying about the "problems" and join us on the track you would see plenty of M3s getting passed. My favorite was the one with the license plate that said MOVOVR ;)
