I was just checking the days now, Looks like I have 9 track days on them so far and will probably get another two! Mind you, our events are about 1 hour of actual track time (six 10 min sessions). I also use them on the street and to and from the track.

That's not bad I suppose. I guess I'll just bite the bullet and order some RT2's.

Any other opinions before I sell my first born child for a set of brake pads?

The RST-3 has better initial bite, fade resistance, and wear than the RST-2 on our heavy cars.
awsome, sounds like the right choice. Thank you.

Naaa, with the new decent brakes, your problems will be over. The base Baer kits are not for track it seems.
Stay tuned....

Fabman:

What a cailper saga!

I see that your Stoptech disc cooling cover is slotted rather than a full circle? I would assume that is because the Stop tech caliper with the caliper bracket mounts perpendicular to the way a Brembo caliper mounts to the spindle and therefore needs to be slotted/cut out.. Is that correct?

I am interested in the cost and availability of your Stoptech brake cooling disc setup for my Saleen Stoptech ST40 caliper/14" rotors.. Please send PM or email to me at [email protected]

Yes, the stoptech caliper mount interferes, but actually completes the circle so there's not much loss of efficiency.
The Baer caliper mount is more offset so it clears the plate. I'll shoot you a PM here in a bit.

I'm bringing this thread back to life only to kill it. The saga is finally over.
Although Baer brakes continued to insist it was my car causing the brakes to literally burn up every track day costing me over $1000.00 per event in new pads and rotors and then replacing the calipers every two events, I have concluded that the car was innocent the whole time as chronicled below. I replaced the Baer Pro Plus with Baer Extremes with no luck. Then I replaced them with a used set of Brembo club racing brakes and suddenly the brakes have never worked better and after a very hard run at Laguna Seca posting my personal best lap ever the brakes still look new.
Final Score:
Brembo=10
Baer=Zero
