Guys
I have an Auto Meter Elite fuel level gauge that I mounted in a LS dash pod and tried to wire the signal wire to the gauge input wire number 16 (yellow/violet) on the instrument cluster connector. No luck. Anyone have an idea what wire to tap on the fuel hat that with give the correct resistor signal from the fuel level sender?
I would really like this to work as the Traq Dash on the steering column blocks the fuel gauge. I have the Voltmeter, OP, OT, trans temp, water temp and differential temp gauges all working great.

Since you already tried the Yellow/Violet line (Fuel Level Input 1), maybe try the Green/Orange line (Fuel Level Input 2)?
Sender vs. Sensor...

Alternately, check out page 9 here: http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=710&viewfile=024%20-%20Electronic%20Engine%20Controls%20-%205.0L.pdf
