First, I didn't know this forum existed until a few days ago. I frequent one GT500 forum and a few Mustang forums, but have never seen this one....my loss...lots of great info here.

Simple question, that has been probably asked a thousand times, but I'd like to ask it one more time, and appreciate in advance all the advice here.

    Enkei RPF1.
    18" X 10"
    Offset 38mm

Tires 305/35/18 Toyo R888 (or R888R) (Alternate tire is a Nitto NT01 of the same size).

Will they fit, without any rubbing issues all around (obviously the worry is the front)?

    Car is an 07 GT500.
Suspension upgrades are basic: Eibach Pro Kit Springs, FRPP (Tokico) Adjustable Dampers (M18000C, iirc), Fays2 Watts Link at the rear. No Camber plates, and unfortunately, I don't know my existing camber.

Any other comments and advice is welcome.

    Thank you in advance

    Carmine

    Welcome to TMO!

I don't think RPF1s will clear your 14" Brembos. The spokes don't provide much clearance. They *might* by using long studs and spacers up front. PF01s clear in 18x9.5" and 18x10.5", but there have been some casting/failures with the 18x9.5"

Lots of other 18x10" options that do fit without spacers...APEX, SVE drift, Ford Racing BBS, Forgestar. Most will be offset either ET42 or ET43.

@C_GT500 welcome to TMO. We've been around for over 7 years. Grant covered it and I have nothing to add. Look to the right of your computer screen or at the bottom of your smart phone to see our vendors that are all very "TrackMustang" centric. You'll find everything you need to build a great car from them.

Spring for a digital angle finder and measure it yourself.

I'm pretty sure they're going to 'poke' a bit at both ends of the car.

    Welcome aboard.

Thank you Grant. That's something that I've been afraid of in addition to any strut rub. And thanks for the suggestions.

    Thank you.

Thank you Norm. I'm not overly fussed over some poke. This will be a track-day setup for 2-3 events per year. Of course, don't want them to look like garbage.

    Thank you all.

I might be able to help a bit more with that.

You're welcome. On an 18x10, strut rub would be an issue with about ~45mm+ or more offset.

Grant, thanks and I was trying to remember , but can't the SVE Drifts ( 18x10 ) be fitted with 305s and fit all the way around without spacers?

I think that's true for most 305s. Some might have wider carcass width/shoulders, and some struts are larger in diameter than others, IIRC.

I put a 5mm spacer up front on my Hoosier 305s to give a tad more strut clearance. It fit but just barely. Drift rims.

Dr. Lee --helpful as I will be using Hoosiers and Pirelli Slicks........sounds like a spacer may give one a little piece of mind?

If it doesn't rub with no spacer, adding one doesn't improve anything.

Unless you're going to use up some of the extra strut-side clearance by adjusting camber further negative at the strut to knuckle fasteners (please use full-strength fasteners if you do this).

HA! Thanks! ...I just work hard at faking it! ;)

Conversely, that's also a way to gain some clearance if you can afford to go a little positive via a camber bolt.

Volk racing makes forged wheels in 18x10 in pretty much any offset you want.

    I ordered a set of ZE40 18x10 +39.

I already have extended studs, and multiple choices of spacer widths to choose from.

Now i just need to decide which tire i want to use.

Just asking, but wouldnt adding spacers up front widen the front track width? What effect would that have on steering on a road course car?

I know drift guys go for crazy steering angle, but also widen the front track width which i assume is for clearence of all the steering angle.

Widening the front track width with spacers also reduces the wheel rate, so there is a little "cost". Neither effect is very big.

Please , since you are new here, don't say " strut rub," it gets Tymeslayer all excited.
