Can someone who has mounted an AIM bracket from Watson Racing tell me if the two plastic pieces on each side of the column that are blocking me from lowering the bracket down are supposed to be cut? They bend easily and I'm not even sure what their purpose is. Here is teh one on the right side with the yellow sleeve.
