I am putting together my list of mods I intend on doing during the remainder of the winter months, all of which are performance and weight saving.

Regarding changing to a one piece Aluminum Driveline (like Cooltech's) how much of a performance gain can be expected over the stock two piece, and in doing so, would that void the factory warranty of our cars.

Those of you that have swapped the stock one out for a Cooltech unit, how is that working out? Thanks in advance for your insight.

I am running a Driveshaft Shop Aluminun unit that has a constant velocity joint/slip yoke at the differential end and 1330 u joint at the trans. I paid $642 shipped from Lethal Performance and I am very happy. Saved 21 pounds and it is smooth at all speeds up to 140. DSS has a video and blog on their site about how their shaft are built and balanced at a 9000 rpm shaft speed. Check it out, they also have a CF version.

This is the one to get. The others aren't true one piece shafts. Over the years there has been a pretty constant reports of people unhappy with the typical sliding splined shafts and two universal joint. The DSS shaft avoids that altogether.
