Now that I am doing headers, CAI and a tune I thought about doing an aluminum flywheel.

Will this totally make the car difficult to drive on the street. What are the pros and cons?

Any input is appreciated

I would do it and a new clutch while you're at it!

This, if you're in there upgrade the clutch.

Only replace the flywheel as part of a clutch upgrade. Get a steel flywheel if you drive the car on the street regularly. I would only consider an aluminum flywheel if the car is mostly a track toy.

Would never pull the trans without replacing the factory clutch..Its a mistake you will never forget. Boss clutch is the weak link on these cars. As others have said replace the clutch with a steel flywheel if its your DD.

Thanks guys.

What recommendations do have for flywheel and clutch?

What will I notice with a better clutch?Aluminum flywheel vs. Different steel flywheel?
Car is a track & cruise night street toy.

QFTT. Along the way of modifying my E36 M3, no mod had as dramatic effect on driveability and NVH than a ltw flywheel--till you get to spherical bearings, etc.
