If you have the voucher and key first sold with the Boss, you may need to buy a tuner from Ford to load the programming. Ford stopped servicing the Track Key a few years back. This link may be helpful.

Thanks TMS, this is one of those silly situations where it makes no sense for Ford to stop servicing something that was so simple for them to do. I am sure our new SBY member appreciates the help, and good example for new members how solid the knowledge and willingness of TMO Trackrats to come to the aid of others.

Bill. I spoke to a tech regarding the track key app. He said the issue does had was switching operating systems for the laptops techs use. Not sure exactly why that was a problem. He said Ford would have to rewrite or at least modify the code to work with the new OS. Packaging the software on a hand held tuner avoid that issue. Was he right? Maybe.

Makes sense the new coding system is not only extremely encompassing, it also is much more tedious. I would think they could do a program for the Track Key, but I could see why it would not be that advantageous for the relatively small numbers. Too bad, especially since more and more minor stuff ( in Ford's mind ) will not be able to be easily adjusted if upgrades don't take into account these special options.
