Anybody else have paint rubbing off here?

Hey guys so I know this probably doesn't effect anything and no one is going to see it, but I popped my trunk mat today to put some stuff in the the spare tire compartment, and I noticed that the bottom of my trunk mat apparently has been rubbing the metal underneath. It has made spots where it has rubbed through the red paint and now shows the brownish coating underneath. I'm guessing the brown color underneath is the anti-rust coating, so hopefully I don't have to worry about these spots rusting over time? Maybe its just me, but I wonder why Ford would design a trunk mat that would rub paint off my spare tire compartment. Does anyone else have this?

Really? Is it something I should care about? I'm thinking about laying some velcro strips down so that the trunk mat has a slight cushion to sit on. And so it won't move. I just don't want any part of my car having the paint rubbed off, I don't want any part potentially having a rust issue years down the road.

That paint is basecoat overspray over primer so it isn't very durable. You won't have rust issues there but if it bothers you you could spray color match touch up base/clear in there.
