The way I was taught--in a street car there's so much else in the suspension that is moving (read: rubber bushings) the STB makes no difference in overall rigidity.

That really isn't much movement at all and it appeared that the movement was more from twist of the engine box rather than inward or outward forces on the top of the strut towers. Looks like it isn't really needed to me.
