Or maybe not. There's an app where you can rent cars from private individuals like Turo. Tesla has a plan where using their app you can reserve my car for a period of time, for a cost, and when the time comes my car drives itself to your location, takes you where you want to go, and when finished returns and parks in my garage. The car already has the ability to open the garage door on it's own and back out of my garage. While this isn't happening tomorrow it's coming. It's a great way to have your car pay for itself and is a big reason the large auto makers are all scrambling to make self driving EV's. This new ownership model is going to shake the auto industry and they've been discussing this for years.

Not sure I would give up a $40k+ asset to multiple renters without inspection between rentals.
    To each their own.

I know I wouldn't want my garage door opening at all hours of the night. It's cheap, and LOUD.

A human driver will be behind the wheel, but only to intervene in case of emergency.

This is the part that scares me.

I have a Liftmaster belt drive as well. 3280M. Very quiet and it’s been flawless over the past 5-6 years I’ve owned it.

Use 2 Chamberlain 3/4 HP for both double doors. Quiet as a mouse, battery backup and can be open and closed on my cell phone.

Garage door openers have really evolved over the years. My new one also has a battery backup and WIFI access, although with my dumb phone, that's a mute point.I'll get by just fine with my remote!, as I did for years............Just glad it's SO quiet!!!
