BATTERY POST LEAK

Just thought I would mention, Wed. I checked the water level in my battery, and noticed it was low, then checked it again Thursday, and one cell was dry, it had leaked fluid in tray, on bolts, and down side, the positive post had worked its way loose, and up slightly just enough to leak. I contacted dealer , and they allowed me to have someone pick up a battery, and not drive the car and risk more damage.
I am going to have to replace three battery case bolts, the rod that holds battery in, and touch up paint on frame where acid ran but I was lucky it did not blow up. My dealer would have towed it in, an fixed it but never cleaned it like I did, and save a lot of grief. I took photos, and sent them to dealer. They are paying for all parts, which they should since I saved them a few hours of clean up, touch up, and hassel.
You might check you battery post, and make sure they are seated properly. Mine vibrated loose, or was defective from factory.

I had assumed we had proper sealed batteries, since it is a "racecar" for the street. Since mine sits sometimes, I will have to keep an eye on it. Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for the tip. I would not have thought to check the battery either.
Mine is close in build # to yours.
