This is where I bought my KW V3s from, significantly cheaper than anywhere else I found.

Nice price, for sure!

Not sure where you'd get the AST now. Vorshlag is carrying 'MCS' branded components now. Might just be a brand name change?

AST is not MCS at all. AST is a Dutch company. They have changed their distributor for the US and we are waiting for them to figure out their business plan and get things going again. MCS (Motion Control Suspension) is the old Moton distributor who was left in the lurch when Moton changed their business plan. MCS is US based and most of the parts are US sourced. We've had great success with our MCS parts.

I got my AST's through Capaldi Racing here: http://www.shopcapaldiracing.com/collections/ast-suspension/products/ast-4150

Thanks for the clarification on the MCS and AST differences!

We tried one of those, with high hopes too. It turned out to be extremely noisy. Tried their upper arm also. Same story.

I recall reading some of that, but wasn't the main issue with fastener size/diameter? I was wondering if there were some issues with different or incorrect year parts from Spohn.

That's what I run, although I contacted KW (Roush's manufacturer) and got a softer rear spring set.
Supposedly the fronts are 515lbs/in (not verified) and the rears are 400lbs/in (verified by KW). I put in a 230#/in rear spring set for better corner exit traction.

It's comfortable enough to drive on the street even with the 400# rear springs; I drove it on the street like that for a couple months.

You might want to call Summit and make sure you can actually get that set, I've seen a lot of people say they are just SKUs and not available.

Next best option, IMO would be an AST 4100 set. I don't have any experience with them, however.

WOW that is cheap!
Isnt that kit the same as KW V2 (rebound adjust only)?
That's pretty darn good at that price. Though I'm with you on that--that rear spring rate I would not want to have :)

Roush has them custom-valved, but the equivalent would be something like a KW V2...single-adjustable rebound w/ camber plates.
Arizona, are your Roush KW's having a front conical spring (small at the base and OEM spring diameter at the top mount)?
Or is it a cylindrical spring (small at the top)?
Did you get the camber plates with the kit?
Do you have a Stainless body for all four? Or painted.
Do you have true coil overs for the rear or the OEM style "shocks and springs separate"?
Sorry for that many questions...

Just noticed the Spec Iron shocks are $2400. Dunno anything about them. http://www.hancheyvehicletech.com/product/HVT-F1001-SI.html

Hanchey says they are good and the results from NASA Tx racers are saying they work very well. He's also got some double (internal) and double (reservoirs) coming out very soon (if not already).

[edit]... well, no $hit he says they are good... he's the vendor :). Seriously, I've dealt with Brian for years. I have seen the dyno plots and have heard reviews from the guys doing the testing down in Texas. I may slap a set on later this year and try them out (the doubles).... even though the AST4200RRs are working just fine. [/edit]

These look interesting. Who makes the dampers in these? Is it HVT? I see they also offer JRi's as well. I'm still waiting to here from CorteX on their new single adjustable JRi's that should come in around $3K.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the Spec Iron HVT's are made by a AST. I've considered these...it'll be one less thing to buy down the road if I ever take the lead and build an SI car.
