Hey,

I am trying to get the black Enkei PF01 for my Boss but my contact get this reply:

"OK, here's the deal on those Enkei's. Talked to my guy over at Tire Rack, where you told me to get them, and they do not show anything in the bolt pattern for a 2012 Mustang Boss 302 in an 18" rim. They have an 18 x 8.5 and and 18 x 9 only for the bolt pattern for that Mustang. Now, it shows this year / model Mustang came stock with 19" and / or 20" rims. So why are we trying to find at 18" rim? We are going to have trouble finding the bolt pattern for this car in that size wheels."

You guys that use them, where is the best place to get them and what is the correct pn (black)?

Cheers!

Can someone let me know what the offsets are or even the exact part numbers? I emailed Bart at the tire rack and he was reluctant to sell the wheels for our application without a part number.

Just call Luke directly, he's got everything you need. Do it fast, they are running out of the PF-01's.

If you're going with the staggered Enkeis, here's what you want:

18 x 9.5 35mm offset
18 x 10.5 38 mm offset

You can also run an 18 x 9.5 45mm offset front, but are probably limited to a 275 tire in front. They tuck in further toward the strut, but you could also just put a spacer on them to run a wider tire.

Seriously, the active members on this board have caused a complete run on Enkei's and DBA rotors, they are getting almost impossible to find.

Ok got my order in at the tire rack. They were out of black so I went with the silver. Even in the silver they only have a few sets left. Also, apparently yesterday I got the last set of DBA 5000's in the country. Wheels, tires, rotors, pads, brake ducting kit...the UPS guy is going to be very busy this week. :)

Crap, I wonder if they have any 4000s left for the rears. I have one spare set of rings left for my 5000s but only an old stock set of rears as backups. With as many track days as I have done/planned I was going to pick up another set.

Might check with Luke also on the RPF1s ... I almost ordered these as I ran them on my Spec Miatas and they are super light. They are actually about a pound less then the PF01s.

Not sure on offset , but sure they can figure it out and they also are little bit cheaper. Could be a nice , second alternative if the other Enkeis are sold out for a bit.

The RPF1 would be a good option, but you won't be able to run a 10.5 rear. The only offset in that size is 15mm and it would push the wheel out another inch from where the 38mm offset wheels sit. You could probably go with the 18 x 10 38mm offset rear though.

I wonder if the 305 Nittos are actually wider than those Conti's, the tire (in relationship to the car) doesn't seem as wide as the NT-555R-II's that I have in the garage waiting to be mounted (the last PF-01 is still on the truck from Nevada till Tuesday). I've seen significant width differences between tire brands with the 'same' tire size (Dunlop vs. Michelin specifically).

In any event, what you have on there doesn't look too wide at all, it seems like it's still within the lip of the fender ?

You're absolutely right Pete. The slicks have a much stiffer sidewall and don't bulge to protect the rim from curb damage since they're track only ;D Here's a pic with unmounted and mounted Conti 305/285s and mounted R888 305/275s. Your Nittos WILL be wider when mounted but in ALL cases do not rub the fender. Your Nitto rears are actually .22" wider than the R888 but they're just fine. I ran four sets of them last year and they're pretty fast ;)

I can't wait to get them on and heat cycle them. I think I may have gotten the last 10 1/2" PF-01 out there. There were 2 in Delaware but when they (TireRack) went to pack them one was paint damaged. The only other one they had was in Sparks, NV.

Now I need to hunt down rotors. I had my car up on a lift yesterday (believe it or not another bad valve stem, I need to switch everyting out to metal ones) and I finally got a chance to check my rear pads/rotors (Hawk DTC-60's) at the same time, looks like I have one track day left in them, that's it. My front's are fine.

Yes, i ordered tpms with metal stems and as u said they come with non-tpms metal stems. I've had tpns give me good early warning while on the track in the past so i stick eith them. With all these problems with the valve stems it makes sense to keep them !
