Today the fashion police are out stating Blacksheep is not a runway model, but he is supporting the Aston Martin Team at Sebring , so he is our Runway TrackRat Tireman! He is pumped up because right now , during the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge the Audi has just broke and that bodes good things for the Aston Martin and I am posting the news while Rob is inflating things, undoing nuts, and capping some stems.

Will keep you updated if I get more nudes, er, news!

How about a 3rd Place finish for the #60 Aston Martin, winning the Championship in GS, and we know it was all because our buddy Blacksheep 1 was keeping air in those tires!!! Kudos to the Team and to our favorite TMO Tire Man - Tires are his job , King of the Rubber, Blacksheep Rob!

So assume you are going to now relax and watch the 12 hours of Sebring from your racing Barcalounger?! I am sure after all the work for the IMSA Challenge Race you already feel like you have done the 12 hours ------ twice or more?

Nice that you could get home in a bit over 2 hours ( I am guessing ) and sleep in your own bed Champ!

So why did KOHR switch to Aston? Because IMSA has no BOP love for the 'stang? That has seemed to be apparent for a while. So why does IMSA have no BOP love for the 'stang?
So many questions, so few answers. :) 🍻;)
they loosened up the mustang BoP at Laguna but the PF car had a fuel pickup issue and couldn't capitalize on it, in Sebring they qualified in the top 4, so they were competitive, the Audi on the other hand pretty much had it made, the Astin and the Audi used to go 1-2 in qualifying and in the race, but once we swept both races at mid Ohio they gutted the BoP and knocked off 40HP for the next race. At that point all we could do was execute and not give the Audi any bigger advantage than they already had. (the video of the Audi out dragging the Volt/Astin on the last lap at Laguna showed exactly how fast they really were) so we did just that, executed, good strategy and Audi had an unforced error on drivetime at Road Atlanta that cost them dearly. We ran 3rd at Laguna.. again, just executing the plan. The way to do it would've been to just sit on the Audi's tail for the last race as all we needed was a top 10, problem was, not only were we about .5 second per lap slower, but they also had about a 4 lap advantage in fuel consumption. So the call was made to just ignore the Audi, run our own plan and try to win the race. We did lead, but both the drivers, Kyle and Nate never raced anybody they didn't have to, and saved the car and the tires. and we ended up on the podium while the Audi broke the trans.
Hindsight, always being 20/20, we got a lot of grief for sweeping mid Ohio, (both poles and both race wins) but I think, in the end it was that, that put the pressure on the Audis, we of course didn't realize that IMSA was going to cut our **** off with the BoP, we were expecting something but 40HP???!!! But in the end, it all worked out. BTW, we did double stint some tires and they came back over the wall corded, so it wasn't like we were stroking the dog, we really were racing for the win, and to keep the pressure on the Audi.
Lots of components to this win, car, strategy, BoP, drivers, good pit stops it all has to come together.
They covered our first pit stop pretty well, here's the schedule.
