I am attempting to change my engine coolant on 2013 Boss 302 , manual calls for 15.2 Q / 14.4 l . I have drained the resevior tank and Radaitor , But it appears i have not drain enough , maybe half . So my question is how do I drain the remaining coolant from the Engine? Thanks.

Drivers side of the block above the oil filter is a plug in the water jacket. Ford installs block heaters in the hole. Remove this and this will drain the block. Should be another on the passenger side. I have removed the drivers side plug, not the passenger side. Some know it’s there.

It will empty more out of the block if you put your face under the plug when you take it out... Ask me how I know... (Mine isn't a BOSS, but you get the idea)

How do you remove the plug? Is it similar to the plugs on the tranny used to fill/empty fluid, i.e. just use a wratchet extention bar to remove? Was considering doing this before tracking my 13 Boss this coming Sunday as it has the original coolant in it, but now concerned about having air pockets develop on the refill...and overheating if they aren't all out by the time I track the car. I don't have a vacuum tool......yet.
