Has anybody heard a confirmed statement from Ford as to how many years they will produce the Boss?

Many doubted the original assumption of 4,000 cars for each year, 3,250 Boss and 750 LS cars, but that has proven to be true. There is some speculation that there could be a Boss 351 for 2014 following the three year original theme but that remains to be seen. With the new 5.8L block in the 2013 GT500 it would be easy to do. ;D
AMEN! LOLKYBOSSLS said:Don't forget the Cougar, one bad cat.

Is the new 5.8 actually 354ci? All the marketing stuff just says 5.8 liter. They could also knock off 3 ci if they needed to.

What your speaking of is the 255 Ford produced because of emmisions from 1980 to 82..........it was widely used in cougars, thunderbirds, fairmonts.......When I used to look up parts in the catalogs it would include mustangs and Capris........never saw one in either but there could have been some. Smaller bore with oval intake ports instead of the usual rectangular ones on the other windsor style heads.......really poor on power..........good boat anchor material! None were built after 82.MrGT5oh said:CaliMR said:The ford 351s were always labeled as 5.8, for marketing reasons. I think you may be confused. The 5.0L of the 80's and 90's was actually 301 cubic inches and actually is 4.942 litres, but Ford called it 5.0 or 302.
