NOTES:
The Build Date and Blend Number appear both in the window sticker (at the bottom right corner), and on your door tag (bottom center) - the number is in the form 1201202141404 (1YYYYMMDDBBBB), where BBBB is the blend number. Not all window stickers available online have these two numbers.

Also I know we Americans write our dates a$$ backwards but I think your format for the build date should be the same as they show on the documentation. There will be less confusion that way.

I work with statistics a lot so I'd like to know if there is any correlation between the build, blend, commit, VIN and serial numbers.

We are looking for the date that appears on the PDF of the window sticker, it's the same as the date on the door tag in the photo I posted. The date below the vin in the window sticker is the date the window sticker (and possibly the dealer's invoice) was created.

You make a very good point. I've changed that in the database.

I want to know too. It will be a while before we have enough data to let you know. The build dates and Blend numbers are completely out of sync with the Boss #'s.

Oddly my build date on my door sticker does not relate to info I was supplied with at time. Car was scheduled for build week of February 21st. I was then updated with car in production on Feb 17. Then I got a second sent to plant notification on the 28. Body shop on March 3rd. Produced March 14. Released March 15.

The "Boss or Ls Number" is the number found on the engine plaque on top of the intake.

It's the final number that's assigned to lock in the build order, and is set within few hours of the car being built. Apparently three numbers are used, one each for body, paint, and final assembly. We're only interested in the final one, as that is the one that's actually tied to a car's VIN.
