What's the life expectancy of a non-damaged good quality braided brake line? Or maybe a better question is when do you replace them as part of general maintenance? I have a set on my 82 GT track car that are at least 15yrs old now that appear to be in good shape, never kinked, no signs of abrasion, just getting up there in age. New lines always have a risk of quality defects.

I don't think there is a maintenance interval for the OEM brake lines, maybe an occasional inspection? If your lines are of comparable or better quality, then the same should apply. Anything can fail, but I don't think it's expected during the life of the car. Of course a failure could establish when that might be!
