Thanks for posting. While I've never had any issues with any DOT 4 fluid I've used I'm sticking with Motul RBF 600. Most motorcycle shops carry it so it's easy to find.

More interesting is you get what you pay for with Castrol SRF.

In my humble opinion.... Castrol SRF is the the most cost affective brake fluid out there. It lasts forever and is has the highest wet boil temp...... I bleed the lines maybe twice a year (when I remember, not because I have too)... I dont even go through 1/2 liter in a a year!!! !

Exactly. That's the part you pay for with SRF. A high wet boiling point is great for fluid that isn't fully changed out often.

I use RBF 600 and change it out frequently. If I'm not doing a full flush, I use a turkey baster to take out fluid from the reservoir that has clutch slave cylinder crap/residue in it.

If I had a separate clutch reservoir, I'd use SRF and just bleed regularly.

A high dry boiling point won't mean much if you don't keep the fluid fresh/dry.

I wouldn't want somebody reading this post and thinking RT700 was the 'best choice' or even a good recommendation.

Like mixing tires on a street car. o_O

I'll have time to lighten up when I'm dead. ;)

Ahhh, I Never indicated this "RT" stuff was the best choice, just noted unusually high dry temp rating. Maybe this was just too much information I guess.

My last fluid flush I put in the RT700, Great stuff. The car brakes when I forget too!
Seriously, I did use it and had no issues at all, Worked like the rest do. I can't say I'll get it again as it's hard to find places that keep it in stock.

Great data, thanks.

Almost as fun as debating oil and filter change intervals:(
But with the added thrill of coming to a 90 degree curve at 180 km/hr and having the pedal go to the floor.!!! That was with ATE blue.....Never again.
