There is no difference in the master cylinder. Brake reservoir will differ between automatic and manual but is not a factor in up grading to Brembo brakes. The Brake booster is different between Non-Brembo and Brembo equipped cars. Just have your friend upgrade to a master cylinder for the same year Brembo equipped car if he wants to include all parts that would be on a Brembo equipped car. These are like 100 bucks or less. It's not even necessary but if you don't do it the pedal effort will be firmer if you don't.

Make sense?

Gathering parts for a Brembo upgrade on a 14 GT. Not sure about the master cylinder. The above post states no difference in Brembo and non-Brembo master cylinder and then says upgrade the cylinder to one for a Brembo car. So which is it?

From what I saw. the brembo GT has the power brake booster DR3Z-2005-D, while the Boss and perf package have DR3Z-2005-B . The master cylinder is the same part number DR3Z-2140-A for either.
Very fond of the S550 brembos on my 2012 Boss..

Unless you are buying used, the price difference is not that big really. Just picked up another set of calipers from Tim at OPmustang.com. its a great deal.

You really notice them over the 14 in brembos, when braking from over 120mph.
