I munged my front bumper mounted temp sensor a while back on a off-road adventure. Does this in any way go to the pcm for fuel control? I was pretty sure there is another one in the CAI.
 
Thats the outside temp sensor, it's used for auto climate if you have it and also the readout for exterior temp. I don't think it's anything important. I don't think it will cause a check engine light only a DTC in the HVAC module.
