Great looking Redhead Chris , but you might want to edit your build thread because I think those rear 10x10 wheels would really get you out of the hole fast , but I bet they are hard to find, ha!! Welcome and glad to see you post your beast on TMO!!

Thanks, she's a 20-footer for sure. Not pretty, but building for a solid foundation and looks will come later.

No, building for HPDE/Track use. I have a 2006 Saturn Ion Red Line that I use for Autocross. It's just not standing up well to the track use, thus the addition of this car to the stable.

I would suggest ditching the staggered wheel setup and go for something like 275/35-18 squared. Depending on your offset you could find two more wheels to match your rears and run them on the front.

OK, got the rear axle fully rebuilt with the new Ford Performance pumpkin and gear/pinion set. Stayed with the 3-73 gear set that came with the car (31-spline axles). Dropped the fuel tank, replaced the fuel pump/strainers and fuel filter (that original fuel pump was STILL working). Welded in the battery relocation bracket in the right/rear and installed the 200-amp breaker with the positive cable to the engine compartment. Also had to weld-up a crack in the rear of the tunnel between the two upper torque box connections. I installed the BMR torque box reinforcements as well (only bolted, not welded-in), may loop back later to weld those in.

Next will be to drop the transmission for new seals, clutch, clutch cable, Steeda Quadrant, etc.

Got some new engine mounts in, the originals were still on there, and shot! Wrapped up the wiring for battery relocation and installed a new power steering oil cooler. Fit perfectly and should perform much better than stock. The fit was outstanding!
