Clearance Clarence

Just received my Bravado Tribute wheels for my 2013 BOSS, went to fit check the front wheels, 19 X 9.5, and low and behold I only have .010 clearance between the caliper and rim on the passenger and 0 on the drivers side. Called Bravado and they confirmed fitment, again, and said they have received no such reports of clearance issues. Guess it's just my dumb luck, and to top it off, one of the mounted tires was cut so it needs to be replaced.... On to the question, how much clearance do I need between the rim and the caliper to be safe? As it sits now, this tire rim combo, 275's mounted up front, push the tire right to edge of the front fender, so any additional spacer is going to push the tire beyond the edge. Am I going to have to worry about tire/fender contact? Currently running P springs so the car sits a little lower than stock.

You might want to let everyone know what the rim size and offset are. I've seen pic's of people with the less then a mm away from the caliper. I wouldn't run them if they are that close, one trip through the sand could ruin your day.

And also remember that there is no piece of metal that does not flex. The caliper can move, the rotor can flex, the wheel can flex, etc... If they said no one else has issues then they are either BS'ing you or you got the one bad set from a Friday afternoon.

There is some clearance into on Stoptechs website. I believe they suggest a min of 3mm clearance.

Just my opinion, it sounds like the wheels are not setup to run with the Brembo Brakes. There are so many wheels that will fit the Boss correctly, I wouldn't try to make the wheel fit. I would send them back and see if you could find a better fitting wheel.
