Ford Racing line is part prevent steel with braided ends. Most aftermarket lines are braided Teflon only. Performance is likely the same just make sure the aftermarket line is protected and secured away from the header heat. This helps with clutch performance by keeping fluid temps down. Both the FR and aftermarket will reduce the amount of line expansion similar to braided brake hoses.

No I don't think so. I have the McLeod line with bleeder I think it was $125. Stuck the new line on as I was getting a transmission rebuild from Ford and I up graded what ever I could while the transmission was out. I think we all agree its nice not having a plastic line , but the up graded line will not solve any shifting problems by it self.
