Cobra Jet Cold Air Intake Corrosion

I was doing winter maintenance on my car and noticed some corrosion starting to occur on one of Cobra Jet Cold Air Intake (CAI) aluminum pieces. To my surprise the aluminum air cleaner velocity horn and the fitting for the PVC setup are totally untreated. I found the corrosion on the velocity horn, both around the air cleaner mating surface and the rubber connecting hose on the outside of the air cleaner. I guess when I was washing the car, water had settled in these locations and started the corrosion.
I went ahead and had mine anodized so that I wouldn't have any trouble down the road.

Yes. I thought the shop was going to send it with another batch, but it turned out they were doing a different process. It was $75 for both the pieces.
