Different Oil Separator Installations

Thinking about getting an oil separator on the passenger side... Was wondering if anyone had any opinions about JLT versus Moroso...The Moroso looks more durable and I like the fact that is has all metal fittings. Looks like you might run into less problems with it breaking... Any thoughts? (I know the Moroso is a little more expensive, but I'd rather pay a little more if it's going to last longer. I heard though that I might need to replace those"heater hoses" as they're not really designed to withstand oil)

I installed my two hole bracket today but only used one hole. It's more secure than the other bracket. Brian did a nice job with this and the spot welding the nuts at the top of the bracket was a nice touch. Install was very easy. While I had mine out I checked to see how much oil had accumulated and as you can see not much. That's the first time I checked it in two years, over 10,000 miles, and almost 20 track days. Maybe I don't drive it hard enough. ::)

Re: Different Oil Separator Installations

Thanks and great to hear. I have the same experience with the amount of fluid in the catch can, however I did notice that the filter element is pretty saturated. Have you cleaned the filter element? If so what did you use?

Team,
I was really struggling last night to install my JESTER no drill bracket/Peterson set up last night. For those of you that have done this, is there enough clearance between the valve cover and the breather can to insure that there is no contact from the engine rocking? Is the can right up against the battery blanket once complete? Any and all input would be appreciated. I'm not complaining about the bracket; it's fine. It's me!!

Thanks,
El Taco Grande

The JLT is shipping with a metal connector in place of the one that has been breaking. I'd prefer to use a solid mount but the Moroso looks like overkill and I don't like where it mounts for a Boss. Instead I'm going to buy the JLT and buy the optional bracket. I may not use the bracket but if I do I'll mount it under the strut brace. Here's a photo of the JLT with the bracket.

Where did you find the JLT Bracket? I looked on their site and didn't see anything.

Just an FYI of something to check during your routine maintenance. My breather is almost three years old and I noticed my cap on the intake had cracked. It wasn't leaking but I replaced it anyway. Be sure to check yours if it's a couple of years old or older.

I had the same exact problem. One Mustang company wanted $7.00 for a replacement cap. They really need to have there head smacked. Went to McMaster Carr and got 4 caps for the same price $7.00 + shipping. I now have 2 spares.
Just an FYI. You need to remove the cap and squeeze it like NFSBOSS shows you. Otherwise it will look like its fine.
