Do we need an automatic emergency brake?

Not the parking brake either. While I like the safety feature of this, for other drivers, I on the other hand don't need it or want it. ::)

Yeah, I would like it.

My daily driver has over the top tech features such as displaying text messages, DVR'ing radio programs, Siri eyes free, real time traffic requiring snap decision making on my part-all distracting features, just to name a few of them.

These features take too much attention from the main act of driving a car, in my opinion.

Automatic braking could be a real blessing...

It's coming to every new car, and sooner than later.

It will be mandated by the Feds,

Bummer, I say.

It should be an age induced option. It's great when your too young or too old.

Now, if it's programable to where it speeds up when your mother-in-law is out in front of you... ;D

It should apart of the Text Message option with Telmatics packages.

And Tyme, that was too funny, had me laughing.

Have fun out there and the other good news is the Feds will change the Octane ratings for gas calling for 91 Octane as the new "Regular" grade, replacing 87, and 95 will replace the existing 92-93 Octain ratings.

This is to assist the Automotive Manufacturers who must improve their CAFE ratings which will eventually be 50 MPG by the year 2020 - 2021.
