I have used my track key twice now and i was uder the impression that the rev limiter or fuel cutout were shut off when you use the red key. On both ocasions the engine seemed to be limited to 7400 the same as with the regular key. Am i missing something or was i just mistaken about the RPM. JPM

Speed limiter is supposedly based on the drive shaft, probably a few other parts too, so they are not going to raise it for that cheap and keep the warranty. Rev limit is supposedly (based on what Ford said) based on the speed of the ECU.

Mercedes charges like $15k to remove (or might just be raise) the speed limiter fwiw

Do I interpret your post correctly that if the limiter is disabled, the warranty goes away?
