Assuming the seller paid 5K ADM - he's just banking on profiting above and beyond that number. (Starting bid) The bid's at 65K and if he can collect, that a tidy amount to pocket.

eBay rules are clear. The buyer pays the number in their bid. They don’t care what you have in your bid comments or what the person listing the car adds in their comments. Pay the bid and get the merchandise. If they don’t agree, they are banned from EBay. It will be interesting to see what happens
The listing is for an allocation. He does not have the car. This will end badly for the person who listed. I can’t imagine EBay wants people selling a car when they do t have the car.
