Oh man, I missed some good stuff in here! That AJ Hartman wing should be great--and welcome to the Big Wang Gang :)

The question that will naturally come next is will you be able to achieve aero balance--but with the trackspec vents and front splitter I think you will be able to get it figured out. Plus you've got Kevin.

Excited to see the final outcome of the flares.

I'm no stranger to race car set up-I used to do this for a living.
That being said, Kevin's Road racing and Mustang specific experience has been invaluable.
Shortened up my learning curve immensely. I still do what I want, but we talk about it first....sometimes we do it his way, sometimes we don't. But having a collaborator of his caliber has been a real treat for me and I'm thankful he's taken enough interest in me to be part of this project. I'm still not sure if it's because he has faith in me....or if he feels sorry for me. Probably a little of both. lol.

It takes a man of great cahones to ruin perfectly good body panels, if I do say so myself.
Or an idiot....lol.
Fortunately I didn't pay for the paint. A gravel truck dumped gravel on the road in front of me and pelted the crap out of my car, so insurance paid for it. The painter got plenty of money to do it too. Wasn't quite 9 grand....it was like 8500 or 8800....basically 9 grand in my book. It sure looked good for a while though.

AJ Hartman is a good source, IMO the wing would be less obtrusive if it was white, but I understand not wanting to cover up the CF, Think about just using white vinyl. We use that stuff all the time because it's easily removed.

Kevin painted his and striped it to match the car....he's encouraging me to to do that as well. I'm on the fence about all that still....

Sal, I think the cf looks great. Add a long die cut white sticker. IMHO. I'm putting a ford racing on mine.

I would have ordered a big TMO sticker when those were going around but I didn't have the wing yet. I don't want to trash the car up too much so I need to choose what goes on there carefully. Somewhere I have to get my own company name on there since I am writing this all off....

are you getting an AJ Hartman wing or something else?

Give that a shot. Otherwise, I got local guy across the street from me who will make us anything we want. But we have to put together volume or it does not make sense from an economical perspective for him, or us really.

I've used eDecals before. I'm happy with the price and quality.
I really just need to decide what to put on here and where.
Whatever does go on here needs to be tastefully done.
Less is more in this case I think.

Scratch that, it's not big enough.
I'm thinking of putting the few endorsements I have on the rockers...what do you think?

Do you think a red TMO decal instead of this silver ford racing decal would show up well enough? I have one of those....

Yes. But on a white outline or white background would be even better. Just a thought. That's what I'm basically doing with my car. A lot of white and some red. Go well against the dark gray and black.

Fabman:

I like the painted and striped look of the wing. It seems to harmonize the rear of the car.

Looks like you're making nice progress and I'm looking forward to seeing your finished fender flairs.

All the Best,

Here's a blast from the past....if I could go back in time, I'd go back here.
