Is this pump obnoxiously loud or is it just my imagination?

The Pump is rubber mounted in the trunk. Video is taken from 10 feet away (video is zoomed)
If you disconnect the pump and hold it in your hand its just as loud, so it's not the mounting. I eliminated the fuel system and pumped straight from a jug and into another jug so it's nothing in the car, its just loud AF! Two people sitting in the car can not hear one another over the pump, it's that loud inside.
The manufacturer seems to think this is a normal fuel pump sound......but its louder than my exhaust!
What do you think....am I asking too much?

Here it is with the trunk open:

Here it is removed from the mount. Notice the tone doesn't change.

At this rate I'm likely to get black flagged for excessive fuel pump noise.....

Sounds like my Porter Cable router.

Hmm, seems awfully loud to me.

Edit
You Tube and google may agree with the vendor, multiple examples of 1HP power tools flat out....

You probably already had this info too-
"The sound you're hearing is the tool steel blades moving within the tool steel pumping element at a rather high rpm and about the only way to truly "quiet" them down is to use the 14000 pump controller on them to reduce the volume of fuel being moved through them when the full capacity of the pump is not required (i.e idling, docking, etc). The 14000 is a pulse control box that controls pump operation. But as most can attest, not an absolute requirement"

Yes, I saw these videos AFTER I mounted mine and started looking for comparisons.
Seems they are all loud AF. You'd think that would be disclosed on the website seeing you need to wear ear protection to keep from going deaf from that annoying whine.

Start this one at 40 seconds:

The funny thing is Holley has a similar pump that's totally silent, so it doesn't HAVE to be this loud to work.

start at 1:30
