It lacks that special something without the cleco's. Maybe more stickers would help.

If you've got enough engine to push all that aero, it'll be a monster!

650 rwhp / 576 rwtq
700 rwhp / 677 rwtq

Which one do you think I'll need? lol.

I think she's ready to eat up some pavement. The car looks fantastic and will no doubt make your fellow mustang trackers proud.
I would just like to shut up the mustang haters that torment me with the endless "leaving a car show-hitting innocent bystanders" jokes.

Yes, I would LOVE to drop some jaws and burn some awesome times in on Monday, but the reality is, there is much untested here, this is a data acquisition mission. There are a boatload of untested changes and something as simple as fueling issues or over heating could sideline me. I still don't trust those Baer brakes so diving deep in the corners could wind up being a catastrophe. (A Magazine photographer is coming today just in case I wad this thing up in a ball on Monday) I have changed all the springs/sway bar settings, the entire electrical system has been molested, there's a bunch of aero that may or may not be balanced and more....this is a crap shoot. I THINK it will be all good...but you never know till you know, so I am not planning on being a hero. I just want to shake the car down, find the areas that need improvement, adjust what I can adjust at the track, drive the car in the trailer in one piece and bring lots of video home to study.

Wish me luck.

Sal, did you add support to the trunk for the wing?
Not needed with this type of wing.
The uprights curve around the top and down the back of the lid.
The inside of the lid has some aluminum plate reinforcing it.

This morning I took Frankenstang to a shop where Kevin works and threw it on the alignment rack and scales.
Car was super close, just a couple turns of a coil over, a turn on one trailing arm and a toe set was all that was needed.
Car is much heavier than I thought though....not sure what I can do about that.

These cars are just plain heavy. We built one that has been through a whole series of tweaks and changes this season. Biggest issue is weight. It's a 2012 Laguna Seca, completely stripped, caged, aluminum dash, fuel cell, shorty exhaust (saved 37 lbs) to clear for diffuser, still weighs 3240 dry/no driver. We chased ounces cutting out spare sheet metal as the cage has chassis gussets....just heavy cars! Worst part is with Aero next on deck, we will be adding weight now....chasing ounces...cut cut cut!

Went well, I broke nothing and drove it in the trailer. Mission accomplished.
Oh, and we turned top time of the day....there's that.
