Sal, just curious, what SCCA class can you run your car in?
ITE, it's a run whatchya brung class.

There are only 3 rules:
1)Must be a tub chassis
2)Must run DOT tires
3)Must meet safety rules.

That's it.

There have been some viciously fast cars in this class, though none of them showed up this year. Perhaps 2019 some of them will return and keep the competition tough.
Kevin will be competing with us and while he doesn't have the motor I have we both know this isn't about motor. He has a very well sorted car and the experience to use it to potential. This could turn out to be a very interesting year and I'm looking forward to a new challenge.

That's a pretty fast lap in a Mustang!

These isn’t much mustang left...it has an LS motor, carbon fiber body, an SLA, and just enough stock floor board to call it a mustang. All perfectly legal. These are the kinds of cars that may show up at any time...

Oh man, I didn't realize you were so close by. I'll definitely have to stop by one of these weekends and check out the car/shop. I'm right next door in Livermore.
I live in Livermore...we're neighbors!

Sal, does your car have a blower on it?

And, will Kevin be running his FR?

Is a blower legal in ITE?
Pretty much EVERYTHING is legal in ITE:

From the SCCA rulebook:

ITE:
The only IT rules that apply to ITE are:

  • Any tub chassis production vehicle running with DOT tires.
  • Preparation Rules: International Sedans may modify the floor pan/rocker panel sections.
  • Cars must meet or exceed the IT safety requirements of the current General Competition Regulations.

Kevin will be running his #17 car. Its a shelby GT, not an FR but has many of the FR upgrades on it as well as a cortex cambered rear end, cortex K member and suspension and Ohlins shocks. It's a serious build and the motor is no slouch either. He will be fast.

Hey Fabman, Where did you get the reservoir just "North" of the drivers side shock tower? I'm in the process of installing EMP's pump and need to locate a reservoir in that location that clears the cold air intake in the stock location.

North? That's just the Master Cyl and there's also a remote clutch reservoir behind the strut tower just out of view. Is that what you are talking about?

Or, are you talking about the tank just ahead of the strut tower? (south)
