Can't say I blame you. Wouldn't be surprised if you do go that route someday. You dont really have a good track record with leaving things alone. Which, of course, is one of the reasons I keep checking in with you.😁

*Someday*
The reality is I'm almost 62 and my health continues to worsen. I could make a huge project out of this and then not live long enough to finish it. Morbid, but true. I had grand plans, all of which I threw in the trash bin in favor of just getting this thing back on the road to run a few races while I still can. I'm at the age where I have to have a sports physical every couple years to maintain my comp licence and I'm not sure how long I'll be able to pass. I need to cut to the chase and get some races in while I still can. I set the world on fire back in the last century and I have very fond memories, but those days are over. I just want a few more ya-ya's to finish my time out here then I'll go quietly. On the other hand, I could live into my 80's and always regret not doing this while I still can...so I'm showing up to the BBQ with a 4 pack of beer and I'm going dance as much as I can for as long as I can, and it all starts with a used motor out of a wrecked Mustang GT.
Stay tuned.

You should have been here, we ran to Clorox to install a sensor and the motor came while we were gone.
Now I have to wait for the re shipment.

Saved myself a cool grand buying a $1500.00 GT350s pan with some minor damage for 500 bucks and fixing it up.
It was a little challenging getting way down in there for the repair but its fixed.

Few more parts for the build:

I'm down to just the small stuff while waiting on a new (hopefully better) Oil pickup from Ford Performance.

Movement.
This project is finally showing some movement.

Made these custom reinforcement brackets for the K member attachment boxes. Mine like many others were badly caved in.
(post 1256 below shows how I straightened them)

Splitter, spacers, rods, chin spoiler and tunnels all done.
Splitter is now 1 full inch lower than it was before.

Both sections where the K member bolts up had been badly caved in at some point, so I made this little tool and pulled the damage out with a pry bar.
You would be surprised how flimsy this important connection is.

Well the good news is I was granted a full comp SCCA Licence again for 2020/2021 so there will definitely be some tire consumption going on here pretty soon....I wonder if I can claim Hoosier as a dependent on my taxes?

When will she make noise again?

Looks great
We're getting there. Waiting on a few more parts and then motor goes to AED to have the cams, oil pump, Boss 302 Tensioners, oil pump, oil pan, crank gear, and crank scrapers installed. Then it comes home and gets poked in the car. This is another used engine and before I spend too much time/money on it I want Shaun to inspect everything and make sure it is sound. I worked the splitter over and made a K member brace, made some custom spindles and I have a new Cortex SLA at the powder coaters to get installed as well. We are definitely making progress.

Double Adjustable JRI's for the SLA:
