UPDATE:
Between qualifying and the race I emptied about 2 tablespoons of oil out of the catch tank.
between the GT500 valve covers and the PCV delete it seems my oil problem is finally over.
Special thanks to @ArizonaBOSS and others who lead the way with these valve covers. Well worth the price of admission and I thank you from the bottom of my oil tank. Lol.

Hope all is going well wth the brakes and gear box. Its always fun to be challenged by faster cars, or at least thats what we always tell ourselves!! ;)

And……qualifying.
60 degrees out and no practice.
Let’s start with a burn out and some brake stabs to warm things up and scuff the mold release off the tires.
Anybody else find stickers to be slippery as shiznit for the first couple laps?
Regardless, 3 personal bests in a row. I’ll take ‘em.
Must be those @blacksheep-1 decals working their magic.
The @AJ Hartman large end plates made a very noticeable increase in down force. Well worth the effort.

There's been a lot of talk about mold release wax on new sticker tires. I personally am not a believer in it being an issue. IMO, it should be worn off by the warm up lap. I think more likely you were not up to pressure/ temps and they felt like water balloons.

Once they are scuffed they no longer are slippery even when cold.
There is greasy shiznit on there, just gotta scuff it off.

Well Done.

Looks like those other guys traveled a bit to get their butts whipped!
Like I used to tell my kids:
“When it comes to whippin’s it is better to give than to receive.”

Adding these endplates and no other changes I went from a personal best of 1:38.4 to 1:36.9 today.
To say I'm thrilled with the results would be an understatement. Best bang for the buck ever!
