But keep all your fingers attached so you can drive the thing!!! Or is that your idea of a handicap?
Not my first mishap with the bandsaw. I lopped my thumb off many years ago and had it sewed back on. This is pretty nasty but by comparison is just a scratch.

Band saws are very dangerous but also very useful......bad things can happen in the blink of an eye.....My job got rid of almost all of them for safety concerns but left my dept with one of the last remaining ones, which was locked at all times when not in use and management didn't like that one being around as they would have to answer for any injuries that might happen.Some how they forgot about the poor tow motor driver who was crushed to death in an accident years before................................................................I almost cut off my pinkie finger with a sickle while clearing high grass near our yard many moons ago...Docs had to tie the tendon back together and the finger will be forever bent...........That's the least of my worries now..........
