Save the dawn for your dishes!!!
Thats awesome. How did it feel in 3rd? When I ran with 28" slicks it was a dog. Maybe its cause they grow so much compared to a radial. I want to go back up again now thats cooled off so much.

Im sure a more Ideal tire would be like 27, 26 work great but sometimes its a 50/50 chance the stock setup seems to allow you to get a good shift in at the higher RPMs.

Id love to try a 27in Drag Radial.
I missed 3rd once, not really locked out like I use to, I believe it was my error.

I am selling my 28/9x15 ET Drags and going to go with Either 26/10x15 ET Drag or 26/11.5x15 ET Street both are M5 compound. When I ran my cousins ET streets he has on a set of 17's I was very consistant. Cant say the same for the 28/9x15 L8 compound ET Drags.

Congrats...great time! I used to drag race back in the 60's with my 65 Olds 442 (4 speed, high 12's) and 67 Dodge Coronet 383 (auto, low 14s) but I'm now a road course guy since buying my first Porsche in 1983. There is a very nice 1/4 mile track 25 minutes from my house so I may just have try my hand ay the 1/4 mile again. This video was taken last year at that track: Maryland International Raceway. No, that's NOT me driving!

I talked with him, It was supposedly stock with restricker plates removed. He was running at -150 elevation...
,I was at 1400 above.. The 14th of October is another race at Empire Dragway, Its called a invite race meaning any friend or any car manufacturer can compete. Its all for fun, no points or anything involved, hopefuly with even better air I can get a 11.7 I will also have a Steeda Cai and tune on by then though.

Nice. What kind of shifter are you running? Putting an MGW in my car this week and changing out trans fluid with Red Line MTL.

Im running a MGW shifter, still have stock fluids in tranny but taking it in for NY State inspection and having them go over car for any TSBs. which includes fluid change in tranny.
