the announcer is an idiot lol. he said that same thing for about every pair of cars that lined up

In a basically stock car, you just want to lift the clutch quickly. Especially with stock tires.

Next time I go, I'm going to try slipping it out more, sort of like what a big converter does in an auto trans, I think I was releasing it a little too fast.
yeah I would advise against side stepping the clutch as my driveshaft made some wicked sounds on take off just lifting the clutch quickly. thats why I am upgrading to a DSS driveshaft and a drive shaft safety loop.
