Just joined as I'm awaiting for my 2013 Green Boss to come in. I was a loyal GM customer for many years but the bailout pissed me off. I moderate on a very large Vette forum. As a matter of fact I just cancelled a ZR1 I had on order.

Used to have a vested stake in a shop which 90% were imports. I'm heavy into forced induction. My C5Z06 was featured on the cover of Corvette Magazine. 383 stroker twin turbo putting down 840 RWHP and around the same in RWTQ. After I read the sites guidelines if allowed a post a link if allowed on the car along with the build. I also sold my C6Z06.

I have many questions as I've stated this is my first Ford ever.

First question, does anyone make a twin turbo kit for the Boss? I'm not a fan of twin screw SC or centrifical SC. Just not into that low end grunt. I've used a company in the past on a number of build from TTI.

I have EFI and HP Tuners so I'll tune the car myself. I'm also schooled with MOTEC stand alone EMS.

Any input would be appreciated.

Far from a newbie, but a newbie to Fords.

Read the guidelines, didn't see any issue with posting this link.

Congrats on the switch to Ford and your new purchase. Take a look at this doc regarding TTs.

Hmm - are you sure you don't like centrifugal SC? ...take a look at this if you have any doubts:

Banks doesn't offer a kit for our cars. I'm not a fan of Vortec or Procharger. I had a magnacharger that I bought from Lingenfelter and didn't like it. Too much on the low end. I much rather start to spool up around 2,500 to the end of the power band with twins or a single.

Too much parasitic loss as well with a SC.

Thanks for trying to lend a helping hand.

Welcome, I left the turbo world recently (just an Evo IX, not a monster like you had).

If you go turbo, and especially if you plan to raise the rev limit, you should probably go stand alone. The Ford engineers stated they could have run an 8k redline based on the motor but the ecu just couldn't keep up since it is the stock GT one.

JJ welcome to BMO. Nice looking vette you had there, I bet it was a blast to drive.

8K is high enough. 10:5:1 is a tad too high for me to run high boost. I don't want to change the internals. If I were to get into the motor I'd lower the CR to 9:1 or 9:5:1. I plan on running 6-8 PSI on stock internals.

If I go into the motor and lower the CR I run 20-25 PSI and do a stand alone Motec system.

Hey Dot thanks for the welcome from one mod to another.

That article @ 840 RWHP was @ 14 PSI with a 3 BAR MAP sensor. I built the motor to handle 25 PSI. Even running 14 PSI the car wouldn't hook up on the street until I hit triple digits. Ran it once @ the track on 28" MT slicks with a ton of DHT down and still had issues. It was fun and a true sleeper.

My C6ZO6 was a ton of fun when I was running twisties at a local autocross here.

Gotta go over to the other side and moderate, maybe I'll check back later.

Thanks for the info, I'll call them. TTI in Tacoma Wa. is doing R&D right now on a twin kit.
