First Oil Change Question

Buying my own oil to take to the dealer! Might get my own filter but not sure if that's necessary. Question I have is should I go with Royal Purple or my go to: Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. Just hear all these amazing stories about Royal Purple being "the best out there."

True or marketing BS? Love me some Mobil 1 but want the best in this car...

Royal Purple doesn't come in a 5W-50...so not sure if I'd bring any to a dealer regardless. I think most of it is marketing hype.

I've only used Mobil 1, Castrol, and Motorcraft in my Mustangs.

Castrol for me. I'm lucky to have a family member who is a sales rep for them. Also I use Ford Racing oil filters.

The store closest to me only had a couple of cases last time I went...didn't make it to the other store before the sale end.

I've heard more bad about Royal Purple than good. Motorcraft Oil is fine, otherwise I run Castrol Edge 5w50.

My dealer will only sell me Mobile One , change it myself in the garage.
